November 25 2013 Happenings in Lima

Wedding Night.  Groom Ended up Getting Stuck at Work and Came Late. So Late We Missionaries Missed the Wedding.

We Did Not Miss the Baptism the Next Day However!

Hey momma! Yeah I was way curious what that job was all about. I´m sorry it didn´t turn into something better. Are you and the family going to the Beck Christmas reunión? I haven´t Heard if that was in the plans or not. I have been having dreams night after night of being home. It has been so tough. I forget them throughout the day so its fine but it makes it tough to get up. They are so real! Haha Dreams that I´m fresh off my misión at home hanging out with you and watching tv, going out to eat, running errands and things like that like before the mish. I sure miss you mommy! =)

Yeah here are some pictures of Diego and his family. The girl with my companion and I is his wife on their wedding night. We went to their wedding that was supposed to start at 8 but Diego Works in security and they had some sort of problem at work. He couldn´t get there until 930 when we had to be in our rooms so we couldn´t see it. =( but we got a picture with her as proof that we were there! Haha it was ok though because he got baptised the next day. You can read the story in dad´s letter. He is awesome. I love you sooo much mom! Thank you so much for doing that jacket for me. I know it was a hassle and a lot of money. But you just made the life of a fantastic, Peruvian man that deserves something super special. =) I love you so much mommy! Tell the family I love them too!

This Isn't Missionary Work, This Is Missionary Fun!

After the baptism this 24 year old started tearing up and told me how surprised he was because not only could he feel something when he went under the water, but he couldn´t believe how powerful it was and how good he felt after words. It was so awesome. I pray that he never forgets that feeling and builds off of it to help himself progress in the gospel.

This 17 year old has a brother in law who is a returned missionary who lives in this ward so he got to baptize him which is awesome!

We were trying to drain the font to clean it so we could refill it nice and clean but it wasn't draining right so I thought up the bright idea to try and plunge it......It didn´t work. We ended up bucketing all the water out. Haha

Gringos Watch Conference Together

HEY MOMMA!!!!

I didn´t forget dad´s birthday but thanks for the reminder just in case! I am so glad the football week was better this week. That is so awesome with Seth´s college offer! If I weren´t so dang proud of him, I´d be pretty jealous! I´m glad Nathan and Grant are putting up some W´s as well.

Conference was so awesome wasn´t it! It just gets better and better every year. I sent dad my favorite part so you´ll have to read it. Do something fun with dad for the old man´s birthday!

I am going to complete 6 months in my mission in 3 days. Can you believe how fast it´s gone! Am I really your favorite missionary!! You know there are a lot of them out there. That´s a pretty bold statement. Haha

I sure love you mommy!

Stake Conference In Peru

Elder Hackleman Got Glasses! I pulled this picture off of Facebook. Someone in this picture tagged Jaren. Elder Hackleman said, "Elder Scott´s talk during stake conference was about women. Every man on earth who has ever caused a woman to cry, should repent. Women are chosen beings from God. It was very cool but very strong and blunt as well. The sister´s sure liked it =)"

Thinking of my Little Buddy Back Home

The cars picture is for Jace! Tell them (Walker family and Law Family) I am having a hard time finding time to write them but I think about them everyday and will write them all as soon as I can. And I went through a lot of hoops to take that picture because supposedly.....it isn't allowed. SSSHHH! Haha

This Week's Pictures From Peru Lima West Mission

Awesome story. This 90 year old man in the picture with me is the first person in Peru to have his endowment taken out. He was the first one to go through after the Lima temple was dedicated. He's not in my area but he's in my zone and I´ve visited him a few times on work visits. His name is augustine. He has his own liahona issue from the 60´s that is written all about him.

We had this activity on Wednesday called Gastronomica. Every group (I don’t remember what it´s called in English. Relief society, young mens, Priesthood and so on..) cooked an authentic Peruvian food and then everyone came and ate until they were stuffed. I was the only person not from Peru. Everyone in the ward made my plate for me and all watched me eat it to see how I liked it all. You can see how many people were there from these pics. It was all soooo good. I did it on saturday and didn´t eat again until after our fast on sunday and it was still the easiest fast I have ever had because I was soo full.
